Burj Al Arab to offer helipad weddings

Dubai’s iconic Burj Al Arab hotel has announced a new wedding service, hosting ceremonies 695-feet above the Arabian Gulf on its helipad

Catering to couples looking for a wedding venue with a difference, Dubai’s iconic sail-shaped Burj Al Arab hotel has announced that it will host romantic ceremonies 695-feet above the glistening Arabian Gulf, on its private helipad.

Starting at US $55,000, the wedding service will include VIP treatment at some of the city’s finest jewellers and private etiquette lessons, all organised by the resort’s ‘wedding architect’ – who will also be on-hand 24 hours a day to help plan every detail of the big day.

Costs are set to quickly escalate, however, with the addition of optional extras. Everything from private tasting sessions with executive chef Maxime Luvara, to personal shopping experiences and helicopter arrivals are available for an additional charge.

“We’re always looking for new and special ways to delight and enchant our guests,” said Heinrich Morio, general manager at Burj Al Arab.

“We believe a once-in-a-lifetime event deserves a one-of-a-kind venue and are thrilled to add this special location to our ultimate experience collection.”

Standing on a manmade island off the coast of Dubai, the helipad venue at Burj Al Arab promises incredible views stretching across the city’s impressive skyline – from Palm Jumeirah to Burj Khalifa.

Other notable uses of the five-star resort’s helipad include Tiger Woods teeing off in 2004, Federer and Agassi taking to the court and Formula One champion David Coulthard performing donuts last year.
